With five years of teaching experience, including a year at PlanetSpark, my approach is centered on making mathematics engaging and relevant. I passionately connect concepts to real-life situations and use activities and regular feedback to ensure student engagement and understanding.
With over five years of teaching experience, including a dedicated year at PlanetSpark, I have developed a dynamic and student-centric approach to mathematics education. My goal is to transform math from a subject that often intimidates students into one that inspires curiosity and confidence. I believe that every child can excel in mathematics when concepts are presented in a relatable and engaging manner. By incorporating real-life examples—such as shopping budgets, travel distances, and even games—I help students see how math exists all around them, making the subject both practical and enjoyable.
At PlanetSpark, I’ve had the opportunity to refine my teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles. I integrate interactive activities, visual aids, and problem-solving exercises that encourage students to think critically rather than memorize formulas. This hands-on approach not only improves their understanding but also builds a solid conceptual foundation that stays with them long after class.
Feedback plays a vital role in my classroom. I provide regular, constructive feedback that helps students recognize their progress while identifying areas for improvement. This continuous loop of learning, practicing, and reflecting ensures that each student stays motivated and actively involved in their learning journey. Above all, I strive to create a supportive environment where curiosity is celebrated, mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, and students develop a genuine love for mathematics.
