India has many old and beautiful buildings called monuments. These monuments are very famous. The Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful monuments. It is in the city of Agra. The Taj Mahal is made of shiny white stone. It looks like a grand palace with a big dome on top. A king built it long ago for his queen. It looks very pretty at night. Another famous monument is Qutub Minar. It is in Delhi, our capital city. Qutub Minar is a very tall tower made of red bricks and stone. We can see beautiful patterns carved on it. The Red Fort is also in Delhi. It is a huge fort made of red stone. Kings lived in this fort many years ago. Every year on Independence Day, our Prime Minister raises our national flag at the Red Fort. These monuments teach us about our past. We must take good care of them.
