    Then, Now, and Bigger Than: Time, Tense & Comparison Writing for Class 2 

    This Class 2 grammar worksheet helps young learners understand how time words, verb tenses, and comparison words are used while writing sentences. Through past-tense sentence writing, reason–result sentences using “so,” time-word usage, comparison sentences, and picture-based weather writing, students build strong grammar foundations in a clear, age-appropriate, and engaging way.

    This worksheet helps learners: 
    1. Use past tense verbs correctly to talk about completed actions. 
    2. Connect ideas using cause-and-effect words like so.

    Exercise 1 – Past Tense Sentence Writing 
    Students use verbs given in brackets to write complete past tense sentences, such as slept, sang, wrote, jumped, and played, strengthening tense awareness.

    Exercise 2 – Reason and Result Sentences Using “So” 
    Learners combine two ideas into one sentence using so, for example: I was tired, so I went to sleep, building logical sentence flow.

    Exercise 3 – Sentences Using Time Words 
    Students write one sentence using each time word like tomorrow, yesterday, every day, in the evening, before–after, and first–then, improving time-based expression.

    Exercise 4 – Comparison Sentences

    Exercise 5 – Weather-Based Sentence Writing 
    Students look at weather pictures and write one sentence for each, describing rain, clouds, sunshine, storms, and snow using correct grammar.
